Insurance / Finances

It is our pleasure to be able to provide the care required to maintain each of our patients in a state of optimal oral health and also provide cosmetic services that may be desired. We understand that the availability of even the finest care is inconsequential if it is unaffordable.  Each patient’s dental condition is unique and the treatment that is right for you should be arrived at following an exam and a discussion of various options with your dentist.

Many patients today have some form of dental insurance.  Most insurance plans cover only a portion of the cost of routine care.  The benefits of any plan are determined by an agreement made between an employer and an insurance company and often have little to do with an individual’s actual dental needs. Although insurance can certainly be helpful in defraying the cost of care, we feel that treatment decisions should be arrived at following informed discussion between you and your dentist rather than dictated by the insurance company.

Insurance – If you have insurance we will do all we can to ensure that you receive the full benefit that your plan allows; however, we do not directly participate with any insurance plans.  As a courtesy, our team will promptly process all insurance predeterminations and claims for you.

Payment Options – Ours is a fee for service practice and as such, payment at time of service is requested.  For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Many patients also take advantage of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) through their employer which allows the cost of care to be paid for with before-tax dollars.  We will also arrange payment plans in some circumstances if your dental needs exceed your immediate ability to pay.  It is our desire that you receive the treatment you need now thus avoiding tooth loss or more costly treatment in the future.

If at any time you have questions about the cost of your dental care, please feel free to ask your doctor or member of our staff.
